Women's History Month Resources

Today, we celebrate International Women's Day, the inspiration for Women's History Month, a time for commemorating and encouraging the study and observance of the vital role of women in history. To help your communities observe this celebration, NCGS has assembled the following resources:

2019 NCGS Conference

Dream, Dare, Do: Girls as Makers, Inventors, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs, will allow educators to explore and share ideas about the pedagogies, tools, physical space, and mindsets necessary to create environments in which girls can take risks, try new things, and shatter stereotypes. Check out the essential questions the conference will address.

Now available are the descriptions for the Breakout Sessions, INSPIRE! Sessions, Hands-on Workshops, and SNAP! Sessions.

Faculty Summer Institute

Atlanta Girls’ School will host a Faculty Summer Institute on Unconscious Bias: Girls, STEAM, and Leadership, on June 13-14, 2019.

Our increasingly complex global society calls on educators equipped to guide all students, and young women in particular, through an interdisciplinary and culturally relevant perspective. Join public and private school teachers to explore stereotype threat, unconscious bias, and gain training to support underrepresented students interested in pursuing careers in STEAM.

Register before March 15 to get a free copy of the book Blind Spot: Hidden Biases of Good People.
